Who is responsible

The data controller is the host of the Skyline 1604 apartment, identified on the "Who hosts you" page and in this site's footer. The contact point for anything concerning personal data is the same WhatsApp number used for bookings.

What is collected

When you ask about availability: name, phone number, intended dates and number of guests. These are the minimum needed to tell you whether the apartment is free and at what rate. If you would rather not fill in a form, write to the WhatsApp number directly — the outcome is the same.

When you browse: IP address (stored irreversibly, for security), browser, pages visited, and — if you arrived through an advert — the identifier of the campaign that brought you.

Why

To answer your enquiry, to meet the legal and contractual obligations of a short-term rental, and to measure whether the adverts that bring visitors here actually work. The legal bases are performance of a contract and legitimate interest, under Brazil's LGPD (Law 13.709/2018).

Cookie and measurement

This site uses cookie and equivalent technologies to measure where visits come from and how adverts perform. That means browsing data may be shared with the advertising and analytics platforms we use: Meta, Google Analytics and Google Ads. You can block cookie in your browser settings; the site still works.

The neighbourhood map

The "What is around you" section uses OpenStreetMap, an open, collaborative map. It only loads when you click one of the categories — until then nothing is triggered and none of your data leaves this site.

Once you click, two servers receive your IP address: the one serving the map images (tile.openstreetmap.org) and the one answering the places query (Overpass API). Neither sets advertising cookies nor tells us who you are. If you never click, none of that happens.

The videos of the region

The moving background on the home page and on the Beto Carrero page are videos hosted on YouTube, showing Penha and the park. They show the region, not the flat — every image of the property itself is a real photograph of it.

Unlike the map, these load without you clicking, right after the rest of the page has finished loading. At that moment YouTube receives your IP address. We use the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which sets no advertising cookie while you are only watching; if you click the credit and go to YouTube, their own privacy rules apply from there.

If your browser or system has reduced motion or data saver switched on, the video never loads and YouTube is never contacted — the photograph stays. The button in the corner pauses the motion at any time.

Who it is shared with

With the company hosting this site, and with the advertising and analytics platforms named above. Never with other guests, and never sold to third parties.

How long

Enquiry data is kept for as long as the negotiation requires and, once a booking happens, for the retention period the rental legally requires. Browsing data follows the analytics platforms' own retention.

Your rights

The LGPD gives you the right to confirm that processing exists, access your data, correct incomplete or wrong data, request anonymisation or deletion, and withdraw consent. Just ask via the contact WhatsApp. We respond within 15 days.

If you are in the European Union, the rights the GDPR gives you are equivalent and we handle them the same way.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
